Development in a society

Development in a society is obviously a crucial part in the common good’s quest. It is indubitably that development in a society is made on many aspects from the bottom infrastructure to the social components. And so far, the best tools we’ve discovered and developed to achieve in the best manner this shared ideal is “politics”[…]

That being said, besides as career politics can either be a science, and it is. Applying the science of politics in government shows that politics can be done differently, some countries such as Switzerland, Germany and USA are three of the best examples.

In my dear loved country we could have done the same or even better if we have known fir fact that instruction is a need and a must not a stick to prove superiority. We could have done much better if once we have decided to prime our common goods over our personal ones. Until now we have the possibility to do so, we simply need a little effort and a sense of community.

Hence, this image shows a remarkable political theory on political planning or more precisely on policy agenda named “Kingdon’s three stream policy window model”. This theory stands that in policy agendas there are three main streams to consider, the first is the problem stream, then the the policy stream and the political stream. In the problem stream a problem should be recognized, secondly a policy solution should be studied and awaiting for proposal, and in the third a political change should occur to create the best time frame to propose and/or implement the policy.

This theory is just one between thousands, and it is urgent for our politicians, and lawmakers to at least consider doing politics as a science before doing it as a career to avoid mediocrity, incapabilities and crisis. That way, we will be more able to focus on our development, and Haiti will by fact be able to level these great countries and nations, and this by using common vision to achieve common goals for the common good.
